Dr. Daniel M. Violette is a managing director in the Energy practice. He was a founder of Summit Blue Consulting, acquired by Navigant in 2010.
Dr. Violette is an economist who has worked on energy efficiency evaluations for over 40 utilities spanning over 500 programs across all sectors. He has led evaluations of residential and C&I Load management programs. He authored guidebooks on evaluation for EPRI, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, the International Energy Agency, and he authored or co-authored three reports on quality assurance, econometric and engineering methods, and evaluation approaches for CALMAC/CADMAC (California Demand-side Management Advisory Committee).
He served three elected terms as president of the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) executive board and served as vice chair of the Peak Load Management Association for two years.
Dr. Violette received his M.S. and Ph.D. with fields in quantitative methods and industrial organization from the University of Colorado.
