Susan Suponcic, PhD, leads the Global Market Access Center Of Excellence within Navigant’s Life Sciences practice. Susan brings nearly two decades of experience delivering measurable and impactful business results through global pricing, health economics and market access initiatives both as a pharmaceutical company executive and industry consultant.
As a pharmaceutical company executive, Susan provided market access guidance across all stages of product development and lifecycle management with successful market access leadership for multiple global product launches. Susan led cross-functional teams in the design, substantiation and documentation of compelling, forward-looking value propositions supported by comprehensive toolkits to address the needs of a broad range of stakeholders. She worked in Belgium for several years while assisting operating companies around the world in their negotiations with local pricing and reimbursement authorities. During this time, she negotiated directly with government reimbursement bodies in both S. Korea and Japan. Susan's wide-ranging industry experiences include external environment shaping initiatives to transform the discussion from pharmaceutical 'cost' to 'value' as well as global access and patient affordability initiatives for anti-retroviral and oncology therapies.
As an industry consultant, Susan developed and led pharmaceutical pricing and market access practices for several research-based consultancies. Susan regularly assists clients with multi-country payer research; price-finding studies, and competitive event analysis and modeling to support commercialization in the US and global markets. Susan has specific expertise aligning global strategic marketing, pharmaceutical R&D, HEOR, and operating companies on valu e proposition optimization and market access strategy, substantiation and implementation.
