Joseph (Joe) Sergienko is a director in Navigant’s Financial Services Advisory and Compliance segment leading our quantitative analytics practice with nearly 20 years of experience. Joe assists clients with capital planning and stress testing framework reviews, enhancement, and comprehensive implementations. He is experienced in all areas of capital planning and stress testing including knowledge of the U.S., UK, and European governance and reporting requirements, workflow and procedure development, and submission content creation and refinement.
Joe has worked with clients to develop robust capital planning and stress testing frameworks to meet regulatory expectations, such as Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR). Additionally, he consults clients on the end-to-end process of capital planning and stress testing, including establishing processes for material risk identification, risk quantification, governance, and reporting. Joe has led several engagements to define data governance frameworks and to document the data workflows supporting CCAR and DFAST processes.
While at Promontory, Joe advised clients in stress testing, data governance, and capital planning. Previously in his career, Joe focused on risk management, capital, and stress testing implementation at State Street Corporation. There he was involved in the implementation of the Basel II capital framework and development of a robust stress testing framework to address dynamic business challenges and meet regulatory expectations. He also developed the organization’s recovery and resolution plan in the United Kingdom and the United States.
