Melissa Morea is a Director in the Global Construction practice and has nearly 20 years of experience in analyzing schedule delays and cost overruns on numerous engineering and construction projects as well as mitigating schedule risks for on-going projects. Further, she has drawn upon her extensive expert and dispute avoidance experience to provide risk management, project management, planning/scheduling and advisory services to parties at all stages of the project lifecycle. She has been retained on a variety of projects from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Europe, South Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.  She has provided delay and damages expert testimony in arbitration, ADR, and DRB proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

Melissa has been involved in many complex engineering, manufacturing, and construction projects, including major multifaceted development sites, multi-building construction sites, power plants, hotels, rail transportation systems, steel plants, and university facilities. She has also been involved with software development and system integration programs for major aircraft development projects and Naval simulators.

Melissa has provided clients with project scheduling, productivity analyses, and claim audits, as well as schedule delay and claims analyses. She has lead teams of consultants in providing scheduling, project risk management, and claims analysis on various matters by reviewing schedule issues, including delays, design challenges, site logistics, inter-project dependencies or coordination points, multiple stakeholders, and aggressive milestones. She has developed both as-planned and as-built detailed project schedules and performed critical path schedule delay analyses for large construction projects and manufacturing programs. As a result, she often interacts with owners, contractors, engineers, architects, and attorneys to identify and resolve project and schedule issues.

Melissa has taught scheduling and claims analysis at NYU’s Real Estate Institute and provides in-house scheduling and claims seminars to various clients.
