Emelyn is a Civil Engineer with more than 18 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries. She provides planning, project and programme management, forensic delay analysis and claims management services to clients in the Middle East and internationally.
Emelyn has Masters in Law from Robert Gordon University in Scotland, UK. She has a major claims experience in UAE, Qatar, KSA, Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Kazakhstan, India and South Korea on diverse and high profile civil engineering, building, power, oil & gas and transport disputes. Emelyn regularly provide advice on planning and programming issues on major projects throughout the Middle East and is often appointed as the commission lead on many of the most complex and technically demanding claims assignments, setting out commission strategy and supervision to team members.
Emelyn has a proven ability to apply sophisticated planning techniques and present the same using simple, easily understood graphics, illustrations and high quality presentations. Additionally, she acted as lead delay analyst supporting testifying delay expert on several proceedings within the region.
She is a lecturer and a trainer and has conducted several workshops and seminars to professionals in UAE and USA. Emelyn is a published author and wrote ‘Dealing with Cumulative Impact Claims,’ which was published in 2010 AACEI Annual Transactions.
Emelyn is the Section President of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers International – United Arab Emirates (AACEI-UAE) Section in 2010 – 2011 and has made the section the largest section around the world during her leadership.
