Hanford is a director in the Healthcare practice, located in the New York office. He has 15 years of experience working with Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service programs, with an emphasis on quality improvement, program monitoring and pay for performance programs. He works with state Medicaid programs to develop processes and strategies for monitoring program performance and driving quality improvement, and assists with the development of tools to facilitate program monitoring and operations. He has extensive experience designing, implementing and evaluating health plan and provider incentive programs, including pay for performance, shared savings and withhold programs, in both Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service environments.
Hanford has also worked with commercial health plans and health systems on several engagements, including a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) implementation and reimbursement benchmarking analyses to support payer-provider negotiations
