Michèle Koper is an associate director in the Energy practice, based in the Netherlands. She has extensive working experiences as a project manager on different types of projects, national as well as international with varying sizes and types of clients. In these projects, she combines strong analytical and communication skills with excellent coordinating capabilities. For example, she has led multiple projects for the European Commission (Technical Assistance in the realization of the EC 2018 report on renewable energy, BATSTORM, Financing Renewable Energy, GLOBIOM study). She also works on a range of projects outside Europe, for example supported the development of a NAMA on rural electrification in Ethiopia, supported the Mexican government in assessing the market for distributed generation in Mexico, contributed to biodiesel scenario development for the Mexican government and led a project on solar energy for rural health centers in Senegal.
Michèle has a content base in the field of biomass and bioenergy, working on biomass potential assessments, sustainability impacts related to biomass production and sourcing strategies. Furthermore, she has a background in energy access and rural electrification, with project related experiences in a range of developing economies.
