Knud Hermansen is an associate director in the Energy practice at Navigant. He has more than seven years of experience in impact evaluations, cost benefit analysis, sample design, field measurement & verification, and project management of commercial and industrial (C&I) custom and retro-commissioning (RCx) programs. These skills, complimented by his outstanding academic qualifications as a professional engineer, have enabled him to become a trusted advisor to senior leadership and utilities on evaluating complex and technical energy efficiency projects and programs.
Knud has led C&I custom and retro-commissioning evaluations for six utility programs and participated in an advising or participatory role on an over a dozen other C&I custom and retro-commissioning impact evaluation studies. He led a large-scale, long-term metering study to determine annual lighting load shapes for a group five utilities. He has an excellent track workout of doing complex sampling and data analysis using a suite of advanced data analytics and visualization platforms.
Knud has over 200 hours of experience doing on-site field measurement and verification of a wide range of lighting, HVAC, process, whole building renovation, and building controls projects. He has over 50 hours of experience training sub-contractors in on-site field measurement and verification.
