Jamar Haywood is a Director in the Global Legal Technology Solutions segment of the Disputes and Investigations practice at Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: NCI). Jamar has over 15 years of both professional and strategic expertise in the legal field, having served in numerous roles from managing eDiscovery projects to serving in an advisory capacity. Jamar has worked with many global Fortune 500 clients and Am Law 50 firms on high profile large scale matters. He has extensive experience in handling government investigations and large scale high profile litigations. Jamar has worked with numerous corporations and law firms to ensure adherence to requests for information from global regulators including those from the United States, United Kingdom and Switzerland.

In addition to his expertise in eDiscovery, Jamar specializes in advising clients on departmental reengineering, developing risk control workflows, revising technical protocols, sourcing and implementing technology solutions, as well as helping clients control spend by leveraging technology. He has also advised stakeholders on governing protocols to ensure data integrity to mitigate spoliation concerns.

Selected project experience includes:

  • eDiscovery lead for Financial Institution client related to global investigation of rate fixing involving numerous global regulators including CFTC, DOJ and U.K.’s FSA.
  • Led eDiscovery efforts in DOJ and SEC investigation of an international financial institution relating to dealings focused on residential subprime mortgages \Developed workflow for hosting of over 15TB+ of data for a global financial intuitions’ 20+ government investigation matters related to residential mortgage backed securities (“RMBS”) and collateralized debt obligation
  • Successfully re-engineered the eDiscovery department of an AmLaw 100 law firm for cost savings of over $1MM
  • Served as a Subject Matter Expert for a corporate client’s redevelopment of internal eDiscovery processes and protocols for cost savings and optimization
