John Hanlon is a Director in Navigant’s Global Construction practice based in London. He has more than 30 years of experience and is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Civil Engineering Surveyor and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He provides global expert services in arbitration, litigation, mediation, adjudication and other forms of dispute resolution under various procedural rules governed by a range of national and local laws. John's expertise spans matters such as the quantum valuation of variations, damages, loss and expense, delay and disruption.
John has worked within heavy and civil engineering, oil and gas, renewables, energy onshore, offshore and subsea assets, industrial process plant, power, shipbuilding and conversion, roads, bridges and building and building services in the commercial, retail, residential, leisure, health and education new-build and refurbishment industries under a range of procurement and contracting routes.
John brings a realistic approach to the quantum matters in dispute within Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. He provides dispute resolution and quantum expert services, advice and consultancy in matters of commercial management, contract management, quantity surveying, cost engineering, procurement, management of contentious matters and the development, review, pursuit and defence of claims and counterclaims on behalf of main contractors, EPC contractors, owners, operators, clients, shipyards, engineers, funding and government organisations, joint ventures, consortia and special purpose vehicles.
