Katja Dinges is an associate director at Navigant where she focuses on energy and climate policy. She has more than 20 years of experience with energy and environmental policy consultancy and project implementation for national governments, the European Commission, corporate clients, and NGOs. Katja is an expert in designing and evaluating policies and measures to promote energy efficiency, in particular of buildings and industry. Her work focuses on the implementation of the European Energy Efficiency and Buildings Directives, the regulatory frameworks for the decarbonization of the industry, the development of energy services markets and smart finance for energy efficiency. She is very experienced in the management of large and complex projects and programs with multidisciplinary teams and has steered several stakeholder engagements.
Before joining Navigant, Katja worked for a consulting company in the field of environmental protection, rational use of energy and Structural Funds. For this company she developed a certification system for local energy policy and prepared various climate action plans. In addition, she conducted several EU energy implementation projects like energy management for SME and benchmark projects. Prior to that she worked in the international development cooperation, where she managed a training program to introduce environmental management systems in Latin American industries.
