Kelly Cromwell is an associate director in the Global Investigations and Compliance practice. She has extensive accounting, auditing, general ledger, and financial planning and analysis experience. She provides investigative, forensic accounting, internal control review, anti-money laundering and monitoring services to clients and their counsel.
Kelly helped manage a forensic accounting investigation on behalf of a retail bank involving their former branch manager’s alleged unauthorized activities with respect to customer accounts. She also assisted with an investigation of a former controller at a government contracting company which resulted in the arrest and plea arrangement of the perpetrator. Kelly’s responsibilities included collecting and analyzing large volumes of records and data, participating in interviews of relevant employees and customers, and performing investigative research regarding persons of interest and potential witnesses. Kelly has also written BSA/AML/OFAC policies, procedures, and related systems user guides, created and presented training programs, and completed risk assessments. Kelly has streamlined processes for a large bank’s transaction monitoring program and conducted quality assurance testing and tracking.
