Erin Costell is a Director in Chicago, IL with Navigant's Healthcare Disputes practice. Erin has more than fifteen years of experience in healthcare benefits consulting and administration; focusing on Medicare Part D program compliance and operations since 2005. Most recently, she co-developed an enrollment administration and financial service software solution for the Medicare market, servicing just under 1M Medicare lives in 2013.
Erin’s clients have included corporate/commercial plan sponsors, governmental agencies, pharmacy benefit managers, Taft Hartley Trusts, Medicare prescription drug plans (PDPs), Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans (MAPDs) and Special Needs Plans (SNPs). Erin’s service experience includes vendor assessment, implementation / post-implementati on audit; internal, third party and downstream entity operational audit; transactional audit (claim, PDE, FIR); risk assessment; corrective action plan development / process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
In addition to compliance work, she has significant experience in the contracting and rollout of new Medicare Part D programs, having played integral roles in the development of three Prescription Drug Plans. Erin has also participated in the Medicare Part D program, leading the operations for a third party enrollment and financial services vendor for which she co-developed the software solution. As such, Erin has supported Medicare Part D plans in CMS audits and, too, has undergone audit by CMS for her work as a third party vendor.
