Karin Corfee is a Managing Director in Navigant’s Energy Practice and is based in San Francisco, California. Her key areas of expertise include strategic planning, renewable energy, energy efficiency and distributed generation.
Recently, Karin has conducted numerous high profile studies examining the impacts of distributed energy resources on the grid. Studies include the California Solar Initiative Market Transformation Studies, SASH/MASH Impact Evaluation Studies, NEM Grandfathering Analysis, Value of Solar Analysis, DG PV T&D Impact Study, the Integrated Grid Demonstration Project and two Community Solar Projects.
Prior to joining Navigant, Karin was a Vice President in charge of Markets and Regulation services at KEMA. While at KEMA, she oversaw the Renewable Energy Technical Support and PIER Technical Support contracts for the CEC, representing more than $9 M in services over six years. Karin assisted CAISO in developing its Five-Year Strategic Plan and served as a Convener on behalf of CPUC to support the development of the California Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan.
Karin has an MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Political Economy of Natural Resources from the University of California at Berkeley.
