Kevin Cooney, MS, PE, is a Managing Director and leads international development of Navigant’s Energy Practice. He served as the leader of the energy efficiency and demand side consulting team globally for the past 6 years. The engineers, economists, and social scientists on the team deliver a wide range of demand-side solutions and analyses for utilities, government entities, investors, and manufacturers. He is the former CEO for Summit Blue Consulting, and prior to that was VP of Research at ESource. He has analyzed energy efficiency and demand side management technologies, markets, and programs for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in resource planning, as well as program design and evaluation.
Kevin recently co-chaired the Working Group on Evaluation for the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Energy Efficiency Roadmap for America. He serves on a number of industry committees, including; an International Energy Agency (IEA) Working Group on the Multiple Benefits of Energy Efficiency; USDOE Technical Advisory Group for the Uniform Methods Protocols (UMP); and the organizing committee for the International Efficiency Program & Policy Evaluation Conference (IEPPEC). He has conducted training on EM&V fundamentals for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and spoken to a wide variety of audiences on energy issues.
