Gordon is an Associate Director in the Global Construction Practice based in the London office. He has more than 25 years’ specialist planning and programming experience gained under the roles of planning engineer, claims and forensic planner and planning/ delay expert. He has worked across a wide array of sectors including power plants, process, oil and gas (onshore and offshore) and residential construction for projects throughout the UK, Western Europe, Middle East and North America (USA).
Gordon has extensive expertise in the field of construction dispute management and resolution. His expertise ranges across forensic delay analysis and the assessment and preparation of extension of time claims. He has provided his expertise in adjudication, international arbitration, and litigation proceedings. In addition, Gordon has acted as independent expert and has prepared expert delay analysis reports, provided independent opinions on contractors’ claims for extension of time entitlements and determined causes of delay and effects.
He has worked with various types of construction contracts including FIDIC, JCT, NEC and bespoke. Gordon has also prepared briefing papers for various stakeholders including contractors, loss adjusters, insurers and lawyers when working on insurance matters for construction projects, worldwide. Additionally, he has been involved in forensic programme audits and analysis for Delay in Start Up (DISU), also known as Advance Loss of Profit (ALOP) and Business Interruption (BI) Insurance policy claims.
