James Bickley is a director in Navigant’s Disputes, Forensic, & Legal Technology (DLFT) practice. Based in the Washington, DC, James brings more than two decades of experience working with in-house legal counsel, corporate risk officers, and law firms helping them navigate discovery challenges associated with electronically stored information (computer/data forensics and collections, eDiscovery, data analytics, cybersecurity and breach response, and technology-assisted review). James serves as a strategic advisor, and relationship executive to Fortune 500 corporations and AmLaw 100 law firms of all sizes with a focus on antitrust, FCPA investigations, securities litigation, compliance, white collar defense, and data breach matters.
Before joining Navigant, James was the COO of a Washington, DC-based law firm and was responsible for the firms ESI Discovery Team. Before joining the ranks of a law firm, he served as Managing Director of eDiscovery and Consulting Services for the legal services division of an international business services firm. Earlier in his career, as a Partner and Executive Vice President responsible for fiscal, operational, and strategic growth initiatives, he led an eDiscovery consulting firm focused proactive and reactive discovery management services.
James has been a featured writer and speaker on topics such as e-discovery, predictive coding, litigation readiness, ESI workflow, data collection, cybersecurity, cost containment and project management. He also sits on the Board of Advisors for The Association of eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS).
