As part of Navigant’s Healthcare performance excellence practice, Austin assists hospitals and health systems with achieving rapid financial and operational improvement, focusing on reducing cost and improving quality.
Prior to Navigant, Austin worked at Allegheny Health Network, a seven-hospital system based in Pittsburgh, serving as director of supply chain and business development. Rob also helped grow Provider Supply Chain Partners, a regionally- focused group purchasing organization, from 12 hospital members to 74 members and $1.3 billion in spend over a three-year period.
Austin has written frequently on various topics relating to health system operating margin improvement.
