John Agoston is a Director in Navigant’s Energy Practice leading performance excellence and operational excellence within the Oil and Gas sector and more broadly across Energy Strategy and Operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in business transformations and strategy that leverage operational excellence, continuous improvement and process excellence programs for sustainable bottom line value to clients.

While in the industry, John has held various operations and leadership roles within manufacturing, supply chain and procurement driving transformational change using process excellence and Lean Six Sigma tools. He has also been on the leading edge of developing and using operational excellence tools and methodologies within commercial and transactional business processes. John holds Master Black Belt and Lean Master Certifications.

More recently, John has led numerous global operational transformation programs using Lean methodologies within polymers, chemicals, energy, steel and distribution sector clients. All have addressed the strategy and operations elements of people, processes and technology in an integrated fashion while leading to sustainable process transformation and financial value.

In addition to his traditional oil and gas and supply chain experience, John has significant experience in transactional processes including customer experience, finance, procurement, business development, sales and innovation. John’s expertise in helping organizations drive transformational operational change has enabled multiple organizations to realize significant gains in market capitalization. Business Transformation projects led by John have won multiple international PEX Awards from IQPC.
