Navigant Healthcare Recognized with KLAS Category Leader Award for Excellence in Clinical Documentation Improvement

Awards outstanding performance of top service providers based on feedback from thousands of healthcare providers

Today, Navigant (NYSE: NCI), announced its top recognition within the “2014 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services” report for excellence in clinical documentation improvement (CDI) services. Navigant Healthcare received the top-rated score of 91.23 out of 100 in KLAS’ first-ever CDI category.

Navigant Healthcare’s CDI programs are shaped by official coding guidelines and pertinent governmental and regulatory requirements. Hospitals that focus on improved clinical documentation position themselves well for recovery audit contractor (RAC) oversight, pay for performance, quality indicator expansion and value-based purchasing.

“The changing regulations and new payment models create a need for accurate, complete and quality documentation and coding,” said David Hampshire, managing director and global leader of Navigant Healthcare’s Business Process Management & Technology division. “The addition of Cymetrix strengthened our overall client offering around clinical services and business process management services. The value we bring to clients now spans from strategy through implementation – and we’re honored to receive the KLAS Category Leader award that recognizes our broadened impact in the revenue cycle and operations effectiveness space.”

To determine the Best in KLAS report ranking, KLAS utilizes both performance data and customer satisfaction ratings gathered in interviews from thousands of healthcare executives across the country. In 2012 and 2013, Navigant Healthcare Cymetrix was recognized with a Best in KLAS Award, ranking first in the Extended Business Office Services category.
