Navigant Consulting, Inc. employees around the world rolled up their sleeves to impact more than 31,000 youth globally through a variety of volunteer programs held during the company’s annual Community Connections Service Month event.
Navigant extended its usual week-long event to the entire month of April, encouraging employees to volunteer their time with nonprofit organizations they are passionate about. With a focus on the company’s 1Mx2020 campaign, which has a goal to better prepare one million youth for college and the workforce by the year 2020, nearly 100 nonprofit organizations benefited from the hard work of our employees and their friends and families. In total, employees clocked 3,350 hours of volunteer time.
One Navigant colleague shared, “I enjoyed the family participation opportunity and getting to know individuals away from work. The best part was making a positive impact in our own community.”

In addition to volunteer work, Navigant held a social media voting campaign to select five of the Community Connections organizations to receive an additional donation. The organization with the most votes received $5,000 and the remaining four received $1,000 each. The campaign was a big success with more than 8,000 votes tallied.
