Catherine Sreckovich is a managing director in the Healthcare practice and the practice leader for the government health solutions segment. With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance industry, she is adept at working with commercial health plans, administrative services organizations, third-party administrators, managed care programs, Medicare contractors, and agencies in the public sector, including state Medicaid agencies, in the implementation of new programs and policies and in the assessment and improvement of program operations.

Catherine's most recent work has been in the development of innovative payment systems for providers and payers and in the development of strategies for these entities related to the Affordable Care Act implementation. She has helped states, payers, and providers in the development of bundled payment approaches, accountable care organizations, and other innovative delivery models. She has led stakeholder work groups and focus groups to introduce these options and to obtain buy-in. 

Select engagement experience includes:

  • Served as project director for the Alabama Medicaid Agency, supporting the commissioner of public health and the commissioner of Medicaid in their development and implementation of regional care organizations, capitated entities that will be responsible for the delivery, and financing of Medicaid services
  • Evaluated healthcare provider payment systems, and developed and implemented new payment systems for more than 25 Medicaid programs including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming; also worked with numerous national and regional health plans
  • Worked with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to provide technical assistance to the 27 newly developing co-ops that are serving as qualified health plans in the new Marketplace; develop policies and procedures related to the Marketplace, including outreach, registration, and education efforts regarding the reinsurance and risk corridor programs; and provide assistance in development of strategies for states determining whether they will implement their own exchanges or participate in the federal exchange

Catherine also provides expert testimony and assistance related to healthcare litigation.
