Ecofys, a Navigant company, is leading a three-year project that aims to contribute to a strengthened European integration in climate action. The project is part of the European Climate Initiative by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety. With a particular focus on Southeast Europe, the project aims to promote a joint ambition in realizing the Paris Agreement. Through a bi- and multilateral dialogue, the energy and climate experts will help facilitate an exchange between national and regional governments, municipalities, and schools in Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Portugal, and Germany.
Next to Navigant, the consortium is comprised of 10 international partners, among them adelphi and the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues (UfU). Together, the project team will provide expert knowledge, leverage good practice examples of climate protection, build capacity in municipalities and schools, transfer knowledge, and facilitate multilevel governance action.
