Navigant recently completed the first year of a multi-year study to derive statewide residential hourly load shapes for 25 end uses in the state of Massachusetts. These results are statistically valid for many demographics. During this webinar, NILM: Lessons Learned in Our Efforts to Derive Load Shapes, Terese Decker, associate director at Navigant, will discuss the lessons learned from the various methods the team used to derive end use specific load shapes. These include phasing the research, piloting three different NILM approaches, and the rigorous sampling approach the team used to ensure that results are representative and statistically valid. Decker will share which methods resulted in the most reliable outcomes, leading to a deep dive into the load shape results.
