Renewables in Remote Communities

The Renewables in Remote Communities conference will focus on two critical dimensions of advancing clean energy systems: financial capacity and human capacity. Attendees will explore what kinds of important financial mechanisms and human capacity programs will enable the continued success of clean energy deployment. This year’s conference is expecting to have 200 participants, including Indigenous community leaders, representatives from provincial, territorial and federal governments, academia and researchers, non-profits, the financial sector, and renewable energy industries.

Benjamin Grunfeld, managing director at Navigant, will participate in the panel session: Barriers to Financing of Renewable Energy Projects in the Arctic Remote Communities Wednesday at 11 a.m.
