The Energy Policy Forum has convened a small group of diverse energy experts in Aspen for more than 40 years, with this year’s topics including the future of baseload generation, the Internet of Things, North American grid integration, the national security role of the electric sector, value creation, deep-decarbonization, and many other topics. This year, the forum will be co-chaired by Ernest Moniz, former Secretary of Energy, and Anne Pramaggiore, president and CEO of ComEd. The round table format stresses dialogue between participant, rather than question and answer or just listening to speakers. While each session is introduced by brief presentations, the majority of time is reserved for candid dialogue between participants. The forum is enhanced by an informal atmosphere and a not-for-attribution rule that encourages creative thinking, dissenting opinions, and candid dialogue.
During the event, Jan Vrins, managing director and global Energy practice leader, presented: Building Value in the Energy Cloud. Karin Corfee, managing director at Navigant, was also in attendance.
