Stephanie Lewko joined the firm upon graduating from college with degrees in finance and computer science and was excited to experience a variety of projects in various industry and practice groups before finding her niche. Today, she is a director in the healthcare life sciences, disputes, compliance, and investigations practice in Navigant’s Washington, DC office.
Navigant does an excellent job developing people. The mentoring is great and there is a close-knit, open-door culture here.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Stephanie splits her time evenly between payer projects and life sciences responsibilities. Payer-related work usually revolves around litigation matters and can involve complex data analytics, contract analysis, and working closely with attorneys to create effective presentations. The life sciences work provides significant client interaction with pharmaceutical and device manufacturing companies on compliance issues. Stephanie works with her team to develop real world applications on how to help a client’s business run more efficiently.
Stephanie regularly takes advantage of Navigant’s commitment to supporting the continuing education pursuits of its employees. She was supported by firm leadership while earning the Certified Fraud Examiner certification and when placed on an accounting-heavy project, Stephanie’s manager encouraged her to take an accounting class to refresh herself on the topic. While working on a different client engagement, Stephanie requested a website design class to best align herself with the client’s needs. She was supported and encouraged to take a course that not only led to her learning a new skill, but also provided value to the client and the team.
