Navigant is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen. Key to our long-term success, we seek to identify and address the needs of the communities where we work and live while maintaining our stakeholder value. We strive to empower our employees’ skill-based volunteering efforts, provide charitable giving from our foundation, and promote thought leadership to effectively drive positive change within our local communities.
Navigant’s Inclusion & Diversity Program is committed to fostering a progressive work environment that creates awareness, supports an open exchange of ideas, and encourages a collaborative culture. It allows our professionals to grow their internal and external networks, develop a greater affinity for different experiences and enhance cultural competency—a vital leadership skill in today’s global business environment. Our inclusion initiative helps us all more deeply understand and appreciate the needs of our colleagues and clients. Navigant recognizes that its employees bring different interests, goals, and perspectives to the Inclusion & Diversity Program.
We have created Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that provide all employees companywide with virtual and office-based opportunities to connect to the Program and with each other. Learn more by visiting our Inclusion & Diversity page.
We believe that a sustainability strategy not only supports the transition towards a sustainable, low carbon society – it also has strategic importance and has the potential to lead to a more valuable and attractive company for our employees, recruits, clients, and shareholders. That’s why Navigant currently measures, monitors, and evaluates the environmental impact of everyday business activities, including energy usage, transportation, and purchased goods and services.
Navigant seeks to identify, promote, and facilitate sustainable business activities to improve the environmental impact of our firm and our professionals. We know that collective change is driven by individual actions and must be part of our everyday operations. Through firmwide coordination and local office involvement, we strive to efficiently leverage our shared resources, raise awareness of environmentally responsible practices, reduce our carbon footprint, and promote a culture of environmental stewardship.
Our abatement efforts are currently focused on three categories:
At Navigant, we strongly believe that to address the diverse needs of a global marketplace, we must ensure the demographics of our suppliers reflect those of our clients and the communities in which we do business. We are committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business, while delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients. Through our supplier diversity process, we actively seek diverse suppliers and provide them an opportunity to participate in fulfilling Navigant’s internal procurement needs and partner with us on client engagements.
Supplier diversity is critical to our firm’s overall success, as a diverse supplier base helps Navigant access the widest range of talents in the marketplace. Building upon the supplier diversity process initiative launched in 2011, in 2018 Navigant formally created a Supplier Diversity Program. Key components and goals of our program include:
Development and maintenance of a curated list of diverse suppliers
Production of reports summarizing Navigant’s spend with diverse suppliers
Creating a greater awareness of the program with targeted suppliers
Increasing the number of accredited diverse suppliers utilized by Navigant
In order to do business under our supplier diversity program, prospective suppliers must be certified as a Minority Business Enterprise, Woman-Owned Business Enterprise, Disability Owned Business Enterprise, LGBT-Owned Business, Veteran-Owned Business, or U.S. federal government–categorized Small Business. Proof of current certification from an accredited federal, state, or regional agency is required.
Some of the benefits of partnering with us will include:
Preferred selection as a subcontractor/partner in client engagements
Preferred consideration in Navigant’s internal procurement program
Increased visibility among decision-makers within Navigant for supplier diversity needs
We are looking for industry-specific skill sets and capabilities to support clients in energy, financial institutions, healthcare, and life sciences.
Firms interested in doing business with us, please send an overview of your capabilities to Navigant SupplierDiversity@navigant.com or call +1.312.583.2800. A member of the Navigant supplier diversity team will contact you.
