Gene Shlatz is a Director in Navigant's Energy Practice. He has over 25 years experience in electric utility engineering, operations and technology assessment. Mr. Shlatz had managed several recent studies to assess system integration, applications and benefits of distributed energy resources and Smart Grid technologies. His background includes asset management, demand response, reliability, benchmarking, and system adequacy reviews for US, Canadian, and South American utilities. He has appeared as an expert witness before FERC and State Commissions on transmission open access, mergers, rate cases and least-cost planning.
Mr. Shlatz previously was the Director of Engineering and Operations for Green Mountain Power.
