Stuart Schare is a Director in the Energy practice, and formerly the Practice Area Lead in Smart Grid, Demand Response, and Pricing at Summit Blue Consulting. In 2002 Mr. Schare founded the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Energy Services Professionals International (AESP), and he serves as Vice Chair of AESP's Pricing and Demand Response Committee. He is also a Board member of the Peak Load Management Alliance and serves on the Executive Committee.

Interoperability Lessons from Ongoing Residential Smart Grid Deployments

In this December 2011 paper presented at Grid Interop Forum 2011, Navigant experts take a look at three residential smart grid programs currently being deployed across the U.S. and discussion of some of the interoperability challenges involved in each program. All three programs test the efficacy of residential dynamic pricing strategies combined with different technology configurations.

Long Term Monitoring and Tracking Report on 2009 Activities for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA)

In October 2010, Navigant provided a Long Term Monitoring and Tracking report for NEEA, which examined the post-funding market effects of 8 NEEA projects. Navigant estimated these projects have yielded an incremental 8.5 aMW in 2009 with the most significant savings associated with Commissioning (3 aMW); Building Operator Certification (1.9 aMW) and the Drive Power Initiative (1.4 aMW).
