Mark is a Managing Director in Navigant's Global Construction Practice based in London. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Arbitrator and Adjudicator with over 30 years experience advising on construction disputes relating to building, civil engineering, process and building services projects in the private and public sectors.
Mark provides advice to Employer’s, Contractors, Specialists and Professional Indemnity Insurers in relation to quantum issues including the principles of valuation for change, assessment of damages and the ascertainment of expense. He has given evidence in the UK in the Technology and Construction Court arbitration and has in addition given evidence overseas in arbitration subject to the ICC rules.
As a Chartered Arbitrator Mark has received appointments as Sole Arbitrator and conducted hearings on commercial and consumer disputes. He is on the RICS register of Experts and has received instructions to conduct Expert Determinations of construction disputes. As Adjudicator Mark is a panel member of the RICS, RIBA, CIArb and CEDR and has received over 250 nominations to act pursuant to the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 in addition to representing parties in the submission of their case to tribunals.
