As Director in Navigant's Renewable Energy group, Mr. Pinkowski provides expertise in the fields of energy and aerospace technologies with emphasis on program management, business development, and risk assessment.

With more than 30 years of experience in a variety of energy conversion projects for both terrestrial and space applications, his current focus is on renewable energy generation with project developers, investors, utilities, engineering firms, and government agencies, advising on advanced technologies and participating in cutting-edge, technology-rich projects. Mr. Pinkowski has worked on several notable renewable power generation and storage projects covering concentrated solar thermal power, photovoltaic and thermal-electric power, hydrogen generation and water purification. These include direct steam and molten salt power towers, molten salt thermal energy storage, parabolic trough concentrators, compact linear Fresnel concentrators, free-piston and kinematic Stirling dish engine systems, concentrated photovoltaic solar power systems, and electric and thermal storage.

Mr. Pinkowski worked in the development of several aerospace and space-borne assets including the Space Station electric power system, Space Shuttle rocket engine propulsion, hybrid airship power and propulsion systems, Mach 25 hypersonic aircraft engines, and nuclear and radioisotope power systems.

Having worked in industries requiring significant government participation as both client and investor, Mr. Pinkowski has developed expert knowledge required for government contracting and compliance for domestic and international business. He is especially knowledgeable in both import and export regulations especially in the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and associate licensing requireme nts and applications.

Mr. Pinkowski contributed to many landmark studies on solar energy including the DOE's 'Fuel From the Sky' and 'Assessment of Parabolic Trough and Power Tower Solar Technology Cost and Performance Forecasts'.
