Mr. Newell has served as an expert on numerous matters and has provided expert testimony in Federal Court.
In the context of intellectual property litigation, Mr. Newell has significant experience with patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, and trade secret misappropriation across a broad range of industries. In addition, Mr. Newell has valued intellectual property for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing transactions, and tax purposes.
Mr. Newell’s financial markets experience includes the calculation of damages due to fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties in numerous industries including derivative securities, fixed income securities, hedge funds, and mutual funds.
Mr. Newell earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Strategy.
