As a Director in Navigant's Global Construction Practice, Robert McKibbin advises private clients in the UK, Eastern Europe and the Middle East and public bodies in the UK on project and programme delivery, contractual risks and audits, design and procurement supply chains and due diligence. He qualified as an architect in 1979 and since then he has designed and managed, under numerous contract frameworks, a range of construction and infrastructure projects for private clients, public bodies and contractors. As a project manager he has gained experience of 'fast track' contracts for commercial clients and developed his knowledge of programming and the full range of procurement methods.

During the last 20 years he has developed a particular expertise in the principles and practical procedures required to identify the causes of delays in a wide range of projects including sports stadia, commercial, health, residential, hotel and retail developments, civil infrastructure, rail and complex mechanical and electrical service installations. He has given evidence in court and in other tribunals on matters relating to delay, building failures and the performance of architects and project managers.
