Mr. Lepage is a Managing Director in our Montreal office in Canada. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, he has obtained his CA•IFA and CFE professional designations. He has more than 30 years' experience which includes ten years as partner and leader of the Investigative and Forensic Accounting Services - Montreal office - of one of the larger international accounting firm. He also has nine years experience as Director, Special Investigations with a Canadian federal police force. He is one of the few professionals in the field with both a police and accounting background. Mr. Lepage was named as a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2011.
Mr. Lepage has performed more than 300 investigations of suspected or alleged fraud, secret commissions, non-compliance with company policies and other similar irregularities. He has performed police investigations that have included obtaining and executing search warrants, interviewing and interrogating witnesses and suspects, establishing facts and circumstances, preparing summaries of evidence and testifying on many occasions in both criminal and civil courts.
Mr. Lepage specializes in financial investigations, fraud-related risk assessment and in the preparation of expert reports on economic damage valuation and quantification. He has conducted assignments in North and Central America, in Europe and in Asia. Drawing on his qualifications and experience in the field, Mr. Lepage has advised several major businesses and organizations on fraud and other irregularities. He has been quoted in numerous newspapers and magazine articles and has been interviewed many times on the radio. He has also made presentations to major companies and organizations at several conferences and seminars.
