John is a Managing Director in the Disputes and Investigations practice. He is the former President of Chicago Partners and formerly served as the Segment Leader of the Navigant's Economics Practice. John Garvey is a CPA. He has testified or directed complex litigation matters regarding fraud and forensic accounting, accounting restatements and financial statement reconstruction, securities fraud, accounting irregularities, merger and acquisition disputes, derivative disputes, professional liability, bankruptcy and solvency, business valuation and general damages issues. Mr. Garvey has represented numerous companies and individuals before regulatory bodies including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the CFTC. Mr. Garvey has also assisted counsel in many high profile board directed investigations of allegations of fraud and accounting irregularities. He has appeared as an expert in Delaware Chancery Court, Bankruptcy Court, State and Federal courts and in various administrative forums. Mr. Garvey has also served as an independent arbitrator.
