As a Director in the Healthcare practice Provider segment, Mr. Fitzgerald plays an integral role with physician practices on reimbursement, operational improvement, and strategic planning matters. He has more than 30 years experience in healthcare management, physician practice operations, and integrated delivery networks. This experience allows him to expertly advise clients and participate in the implementation and management of integrated healthcare operations, mergers, and strategic partnerships addressing a variety of reimbursement environments and challenges.
Mr. Fitzgerald has served as the chief administrative officer and performance improvement consultant for both large single and multi specialty physician practices. Improvements have focused on operating efficiencies including staffing and capacity enhancements, supply procurement, strategic revenue improvements specifically focused on, productivity, improved margins from ancillaries, revenue cycle/operations integration, third party contracting, modified employee benefit and pension contracts, and improved information technology applications including EMR implementations. In addition, working closely with practice leadership these engagements include the development and implementation of strategic business plans facing a variety of reimbursement environments.
