Richard T. Faughnan, J.D., is a Managing Director in the New York Office in the Disputes and Investigations practice, focusing on monitorships and internal investigations.
Mr. Faughnan was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York for 13 years where he served as Chief of the Public Integrity Section, supervising investigations and prosecutions of public corruption and government fraud. While at the Eastern District, Mr. Faughnan directed numerous investigations into an assortment of economic crimes committed by corporations and individuals, including bank and securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, bribery and money laundering. Mr. Faughnan's extensive experience as a federal prosecutor gives him a thorough understanding of investigations into a wide range of fraudulent conduct in various industries.
