Mike Emmert is a Managing Director in the Disputes & Investigations practice, with over 34 years of experience assisting clients and counsel with the accounting, financial and business aspects of complex business conflicts. He has provided expert witness testimony in federal and state courts, arbitrations and regulatory hearings. He has completed numerous loss of profits, loss of use and increased cost damages studies in a variety of industries. He has worked on false claims act matters, fraud investigations, financial reporting investigations and other forensic matters, and has broad experience in merger and acquisition disputes, including acting as an arbitrator and damages expert.
Mike has also worked on numerous claims for business interruption, business loss, increased costs, changed conditions and other issues in the construction, environmental, government contracting, insurance, manufacturing, mining, and utility industries.
For regulatory and litigation proceedings, Michael has directed billions of dollars of cost justification studies, primarily in the electric utility industry. He has also assisted clients with litigation document, information and discovery management systems.
