Julie M. Carey is a Director and Principal at Navigant Economics. She is an economist who focuses on energy economics, regulatory economics and antitrust analyses, primarily involving electricity, renewable energy, coal, natural gas, railroad transportation, and telecommunications industries. She has a deep understanding of the unique economics of network industries.
Ms. Carey has been working on energy economic issues within litigation and regulation for nearly 20 years and has provided expert testimony before state and federal regulatory agencies and in state and federal courts for the last decade. She routinely provides testifying and consulting expertise in disputes assisting with damages assessments, analyses of markets and market designs, evaluation of contracting practices, asset valuations, and environmental analyses. Her engagements also involve antitrust issues, such as competition analysis, analysis for approval for mergers and acquisitions or other antitrust claims.
