Darin L. Buchalter is a Managing Director and Head of the Real Estate practice. Mr. Buchalter provides expertise in financial, operational, organizational, and risk management matters to investors, lenders, and users of real estate. He holds the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate and has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
His clientele includes public and private REITs, private equity firms and hedge funds, real estate investment advisors, asset managers, financial services firms, and their counsel. Mr. Buchalter is co-author of the Distressed Real Estate Quarterly Dialogue, a quarterly publication that provides ongoing perspectives and industry data for the commercial real estate sector.
Mr. Buchalter is a member of the firm's Operating Committee, the Chief Operating Officer (Americas) for the Global Construction practice, Office Managing Director for San Francisco, Palo Alto and Walnut Creek offices, and a participant on other special internal committees. He previously served as the chair of the board of directors for the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
