In the second US-China Quarterly Market Review from the US-China Program (USCP) and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), prepared in cooperation with the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), Navigant’s Associate Director Andy Wickless, provides executive-level overview on the U.S. and Chinese renewable energy markets in the areas of policy, market development, finance, and investment.

As the 2010 U.S. wind market is expected to fall to 4-6 GW (from 10 GW in 2009), the article looks at the Texas wind market, and gives an overview of drivers and barriers of wind development, transmission planning and interconnection constraints, and wind integration constraints.
