ON DEMAND: Construction Litigation - Recent Developments in Schedule Delay Analysis

By James Zack

Until 2007, there was virtually no published guidance on forensic scheduling – the practice of retrospective schedule delay analysis. In response to this industry need, AACE International published Recommended Practice No. 29R-03 – Forensic Schedule Analysis ("Recommended Practice"). This document identifies nine industry identified methods for performing schedule delay analysis and establishes protocols concerning the performance of each of these methods. The publication serves as a valuable reference tool for attorneys in selecting qualified forensic schedule experts, in reviewing expert schedule reports, and in preparing for direct testimony and cross examination. This webcast summarizes the major points of the Recommended Practice and addresses how attorneys can effectively utilize it in complex construction litigation.
