Environmental Sustainability

Navigant seeks to identify, promote and facilitate sustainable business activities to improve the environmental impact of our Firm and our professionals. We know that collective change is driven by individual actions and must be part of our everyday operations. Through firm-wide coordination and local office involvement, we aim to efficiently leverage our shared resources, raise awareness of environmentally responsible practices, reduce our carbon footprint, and promote a culture of environmental stewardship.

Energy & Emissions

  • Track energy consumed and GHG emissions produced in the course of Navigant’s business operations
  • Reduce our energy and emissions footprint by selecting efficient office spaces, technologies, and supplies; promoting public and alternative transportation for employee commutes; and reducing business travel

Waste & Water

  • Measure office and operations waste streams
  • Reduce waste in Navigant offices through coordinated efforts to eliminate disposable kitchen supplies, promote recycling and composting, and cut down on machine paper use
  • Promote water conservation with efficient fixtures and by targeting employee behavior

Supply Chain

  • Implement green procurement practices that account for the lifetime environmental impacts of goods and services

  • Encourage awareness and engagement among all employees through training, education, involvement, recognition and rewards
  • Increase the visibility of our commitment to the environment and actively encourage employees to take action in their homes and communities

  • Global ISO14001 certification for the Firm
  • FSC certification for large‐scale print projects ensuring sustainable production, printing, and distribution processes
  • Sharing office-level best practices to firm-wide initiatives
  • Promoting electronic delivery as our primary mechanism for thought leadership distribution
  • Encouraging the use of communications technologies to minimize non-essential travel and transport-related environmental impacts
  • Adhering to or exceeding local office recycling guidelines to reduce paper and other waste
